Electroacupuncture Releases Stem Cells

Fletcher A. White, PhDAmazing new discovery has been made by more than 40 scientists at institutions in the United States and South Korea led by Indiana University School of Medicine researchers. According to the study electroacupuncture administered at specific immune points in the brain activated the hypothalamus leading to the release of reparative mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) into the bloodstream, that can help promote tissue repair and relieve injury-induced pain.

The research is still in the animal experimentation stage, hopefully in the near future human trial can began. Is this going to lead us into a revolution in treating injuries?
